Prof. Xiangdong Ding from Xi’an Jiaotong University visited MSL
From: Date: 2019-05-22 On May 22, 2019, Prof. Xiangdong Ding from Xi’an Jiaotong University and Prof. Ekhard Salje from Cambridge University, visited the Motion Structure Laboratory. Prof. Yan Chen showed them around the lab and introduced to them our latest research work. After that, Prof. Ding presented a very interesting talk, titled “Materials Informatics: Machine Learning Helps Development of New Materials”. The presentation is mainly about the multiscale numerical simulation of phase transition of metal materials and the deformation behavior. During the talk, he answered the questions raised by the audiences, which further deepened their understanding of the problems related to this field of research.
