On May 19, 2021, at the invitation of Prof. Yan Chen, An Song, the founder and art director of Amazing Paper Culture Communication Co., Ltd., visited MSL.
       In this exchange event, Mr. Song gave an interesting presentation - "Past and Present of Paper Art" to all teachers and students in the lab. Mr. Song briefly introduced the paper art including its perspective of expression, historical inheritance and application.

        In the report, Mr. Song bought us a feast on paper art humorously. During the period, Mr. Song prepared a piece of paper for all the teachers and students present. He taught us to fold a very interesting origami toy on the spot, and the atmosphere was very active at that time.

       As the founder and art director of Amazing Paper Culture Communication Co., Ltd., Mr. Song is also an inheritor of rice paper flower skills which is intangible cultural heritage of China. He focuses on origami art, paper modeling art, sculpture, installation art, display art and other aspects. Mr. Song has led his team members to provide art works in domestic and international exhibitions for many times. The paper art works of team members are also included in various international professional paper art books and periodicals. At present, Mr. Song have set up many design studios in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and Anhui, and His love for paper art has never changed.

       Conducting international cutting-edge research and meeting major national needs are always the diversified development directions of the Laboratory of Movable Structures, and we also welcome interested students to actively participate in such academic activities and contact to apply for master and doctoral degrees, regardless of majors.
