Curved-crease origami with programmable multi-stability themed poster won the "Best Poster Content Award" at the 2024 SES Annual Technical Meeting

From:                                                  Date: 2024-09-06

The 2024 SES Annual Technical Meeting (SES·2024) was grandly held in Hangzhou, China, from August 20 to 23, 2024. This conference gathers top experts and scholars from the global engineering science field and is one of the most important events in this area. The poster presented by Ph.D. student Chai Sibo from MSL, titled "Programmable Multi-Stability of Curved-Crease Origami Structures with Travelling Folds," won the "Best Poster Content" award in the poster competition. This work introduced a novel curved-crease origami structure with unique deformation modes of travelling folds, achieving programmable multi-stability. The authors include Ph.D. student Chai Sibo, prof. Chen Yan from Tianjin University, prof. You Zhong from the University of Oxford, and prof. Ma Jiayao from Tianjin University.
