Under the 2024 revision of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Popularization of Science and Technology, September of every year is designated as the National Science Popularization Month. To mark its inaugural edition, the China Science and Technology Museum and the Chaoyang District Government recently co-hosted the National Science Popularization Month Science Fair and Chaoyang District Sci-Tech & Culture Carnival at Beijing’s Olympic Forest Park.

As one of ten exemplary projects funded by the New Cornerstone Science Foundation, MSL attended this event to showcase to the public the laboratory’s origami engineering research including deployable structures, metamaterials, robots and more.

The exhibition will subsequently be continued at the China Science and Technology Museum and also tour venues across the country.
