Congratulations to the two students from MSL for receiving the National Scholarship

From:                                                 Date: 2025-10-30

Recently, the results of the 2025 Graduate National Scholarship selection were announced. Ph.D. student Kaili Xi and master's student Chuhan Xu from MSL were both selected for the award due to their outstanding performance.

Kaili Xi, a Ph.D. student since 2021, has been deeply engaged in the fields of multi-stable structures and mechanical intelligence, achieving remarkable results during her doctoral studies. She has published four journal papers as the first or student first author, including in Advanced Science and Research. Xi also participated in the 8th International Meeting on Origami in Science, Mathematics, and Education (8OSME), presenting an international conference paper. Additionally, she applied for and was granted a national invention patent.

Chuhan Xu, a master’s student joined MSL in 2023, specializing in the structural design and locomotion analysis of soft robots based on smart materials. He has published one research paper in Advanced Science as the first author, and four more papers as a co-author. Moreover, he has attended academic conferences such as the IFToMM CCMMS 2024 and the 9th Soft Robotics Conference, and his work has won the Second Award of Best Poster and the Green Innovation Award.

The awards received by the two students are the result of their efforts and the MSL group's cultivation. We extend our warmest congratulations to them and hope that all students will maintain their enterprising spirit and achieve even greater results!
