Braided tube robot
Braided tube is a kind of deployable structure, which shows desirable features including light weight, excellent flexibility, and fatigue resistance and has been applied in various areas such as piping industry, soft robotics, smart materials, and medicine. The braided tube robot, made of intelligent materials such as shape memory alloy, has specific axial length change or section deformation capabilities, and can realize rolling or crawling motion. This can provide new ideas for designing robots with multi-locomotion based on a single structure.
